This work tells the story of African-American Clothing Designers from as early as 1826 to present times. Some of the designers were slaves; and have dressed 1st ladies from Mrs. Abraham Lincoln to Michelle Obama. As well as super stars like Beyonce and more. This piece shows that African -American’s have always been at the forefront of fashion in various capacities and will continue to be for centuries to come.
